First time for everything...

Well - I haven't had much time to work this summer, but I put together a short video - just to see what I could do with it. I'd like to hear what people think - if there is something you'd do differently or some other theme you'd prefer. I haven't done a video before, so this was a fun experiment for me. It remains to be seen if others will be interested. :)

This video is pretty simple. I've used a poem by Lord Byron, and strung together a series of my photographs as illustrations.

I'm not even sure if it will work! Does it take too long to load? Is it boring as heck? Please let me know what you think so I can do it better next time. Thanks!

Hi, Varina -

The video played back fine here, and makes a beautiful slideshow. Great choice of images to go with the poem, and of course I love your work, with or without text!

Fantastic! I'm glad to hear it works! :) Thanks for taking the time to comment, Jack!

By the way, I took a look at your website. One of my favorite shots is the second image in the Shades of Grey gallery. I love the patterns in the water and the curve that works its way through the center of the image. Beautifully done!

I think it's great to present images in a variety of ways. This video format brings several images to the viewer pretty quickly. I found that the small screen made viewing the text a challenge. Maybe a more simple font would help? The duration of text in the "locations" portion is way too quick to allow me to take in the content. Your images are the strongest part of the video... as they should be. I hope my comments are helpful. Keep on...

Thanks so much, Bruce. That's exactly what I needed! I'll see if I can make some of the changes you suggest. I appreciate it!
